Executive Chef
Chef Melinda Burrows, CEC, CCA

Certified Executive Chef, Melinda Burrows, has 32 years of experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry.  Among her tenure, she served as Executive Chef at Hiltons of Branson, Campus Executive Chef at Wichita State University, and Executive Chef/Director of Dining at California P.E.O. Home in Alhambra. Additionally, she founded ‘Your Personal Chef’ catering business for Hollywood’s elite, Food Stylist for the Emmy Award-winning show, Northern Exposure, Executive Chef for Special Occassions Catering, and Personal/Traveling Chef for Sir Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, INXS, Guns & Roses. Burrows attended the Culinary Arts Program at Seattle Central Community College, and completed her education at Ecole de Gastronomie de Francaise Ritz-Escoffier in Paris, France.
 
Sous Chef
Chef Sarah Smith, CSC
Born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, Chef Sarah Smith has been working in the hospitality industry for 20 years. She has 10 years of culinary experience, from delicatessen to fine dining. She's been at Hickory since 2014 and has served as Expo, Pantry, Restaurant Chef and her current role, Sous Chef. In April of 2019 she received her first ACF certification of Certified Sous Chef.

Chef Jason Pooker
Chef Jason has been cooking since he was young and has always loved to cook. Culinary Arts is his second degree, but first love. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Theatre from Missouri State and then returned to school in 2011 to pursue an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from OTC. He has 10 years of culinary experience, is a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan, and enjoys woodworking as a hobby.
