Aquatics at Hickory
Open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, the pool at Hickory provides members with a refreshing space to swim, play and relax under sunny skies and colorful cabanas. The fan-shaped pool includes eight lanes and two wading zones, with a zero depth entry area and mushroom water feature. Children and young adults can choose from a variety of aquatic activities throughout the summer, from Hickory’s swim team and swimming lessons, to private pool parties. Located poolside is a playground and full-service Poolside Bistro restaurant, offering both indoor and outdoor seating for guests.
Swim Team
The Hickory Hammerheads kick off their season in May every summer. We offer two age groups 2(Ages 10 & Under, Ages 10 & Over) that practice multiple times throughout the week and finish with Fun Day Fridays together as a team. With multiple meets through July, we finish off the season with a championship meet that gives our Hickory kiddos a goal to strive for and enhance their skills to grow each year.
Swim Lessons
Swim lessons are available all summer long! We have multiple instructors who are eager to teach all our members how to be comfortable in the water. For more information, please contact the Club at 417-866-4384.
Summer Activities
Memorial & Labor Day Pool Parties
On Memorial & Labor Day, the Club hosts our annual holiday cookouts with burgers, dogs, and festive beverages for the membership. Pool games take place throughout the day including our hula hoop and limbo contests, slip and slide, inflatables, and other exciting surprises every year.
Movie Night
Throughout the summer, we offer movie night at pool for all families to enjoy. Head to the club to enjoy a movie, popcorn, and swim at the same time!
Moms & Mimosas
In 2024, we are bringing back our Moms & Mimosas event down at the pool. As the kids head back to school, meet us at the Club to unwind and relax with complimentary mimosas and snacks for all our mothers to enjoy.
4th of July Extravaganza
At Hickory, 4th of July is a day full of activities beginning at the pool and ending with our extravagant fireworks show. The pool is filled with fun decorations and props, inflatables, face painters, charicature artists, and our annual visit from Santa for Christmas in July! The grill is rocking all day long with featured food and beverage selections to celebrate the holiday with family and friends.
Camp Hickory
Hickory brings the camp spirit to our club every summer for four weeks. In our program, the campers have the opportunity to practice their swing with our golf professionals, learn tennis essentials, and swim daily in our pool. Our Camp Director, Vickie Windmiller and her counselors also provide campers with STEM activities and games throughout the day. We are passionate about camp and it's values. We look forward every summer seeing our campers shine and grow while building lasting friendships.
